The Jazz All State audition results (Accepted, Cut-offs and Alternates) are now available on the Jazz All State Festival Page.
Pianist Frank Carlberg will be giving a free concert and masterclass at the University of Maine at Augusta on Thursday, October 24th.
Masterclass at 3:30pm, Concert at 7:00pm.
Both events are free, no tickets or reservations required. For more information, please click on the following link.

Due to circumstances beyond their control, Houlton Jr./Sr. High School will be unable to host the 2014 MMEA All-State High School Instrumental Jazz Festival. They would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The festival will be held March 14/15 (as planned) at Hampden Academy.
Jazz All-State auditions will be held on Friday, Oct. 11 at the University of Maine at Augusta.
To register students for this audition, please go to www.allstateauditions.com and log in. Once logged in, if you do not see a "2013 Jazz All-State Auditions" button, contact Kris Vigue.
The audition fee is $22 per student. All checks go to Deb Large at Hall-Dale High School. The deadline for registration is Friday, Sept. 27.
Remember: Your school must have paid the annual institutional fee before your students may audition.
The Jazz All-State Festival will be held on January 2-4 in Bangor.

The low and high voice ballad ("My Romance") tracks are now available on the 2013 Jazz Audition Materials page.
Note the change in vocal requirements on the Jazz All State Auditions page:
1.The melody for the jazz all-state audition piece (for Fall of 2013 it will be "Autumn Leaves")
This requirement has been suspended for the 2013 auditions, due to the lack of available recordings and practice materials.
Maine students participating in a NAfME National Honors Ensemble in Nashville, 2013 are eligible to apply for a $100 scholarship. Applicants must reside in Maine and attend a Maine school. The student's teacher must be a current member of NAfME.
